Summary
AKC series "Current Monitoring Relay" measures the current of the motor or the protected system, and closes the equipment when the measured current is higher or lower than the adjustment level.

Working principle
When the current value is within the preset limit, the output relay is turned on.
When the current exceeds these limits, the output relay closes after adjustable trip delay (see figure below).
AKC-01A, AKC-01D, AKC-03A and AKC-03D provide two protection functions:
1. Overcurrent: Measure the current of the motor and the protected system. When the current is above the regulation level, the output relay is closed within the adjustable trip delay (0,5-2,5 seconds) by closing the motor or the protected system.
2. Undercurrent: If the current is below the adjustment value, the device turns on the output relay at the end of the adjustable turn-off delay time (0, 5-2, 5 seconds) to stop the motor or the protected system.
